Kate works in the traditional medium of mosaic but has developed a style producing imagery with a contemporary twist by using a variety of "non-traditional" materials (from gold leaf & stained glass to rusty metal & found objects). It doesn't have to be just little squares! Inspired by her rural surroundings and by the materials she uses, her work may be a portrait of a neighbourhood cow or textural abstract remembering a walk in the countryside. Commissions are very welcome.
