Course: Jewellery Design and Making Course
Venue: Glossop Adult Centre, Talbot Rd. Glossop
Dates: Starts 20th September for 24 weeks (3 terms of eight weeks)
Beginners 12.45pm - 3.15pm
Intermediates 9.30am -12noon
Course description: Contemporary jeweller/maker Adele Kime will be running this course where you can come along and have fun learning how to design and make creative pieces, using a variety of techniques and materials. You will learn how to apply colour and pattern onto aluminium, together with the basic techniques of sawing, drilling, filing, riveting and finishing into simple jewellery.
Progress onto working in silver, learning how to solder, texture, form, pierce, rivet, polish, etc. all on the beginners course.
Join the intermediate course if you have previous knowledge and learn more advanced skills in silver such as etching and setting stones. Plus creative stitching into metal and textiles techniques.

This is a 10 week art course exploring a range of different materials, artists and styles. During the first half of the course,participants are encouraged to explore and experiment in a broad range of different activities.
